Whether you already own a Silhouette digital cutting machine or not, you probably know that its capabilities far exceed just paper crafting. We visited with the Silhouette America people at the Sierra Pacific Crafts Trade Show recently and we got to see all that is possible with these amazing digital die cutters.
The nice folks at Silhouette helped us make one of these adorable pin wheels.
They showed us the image in the Silhouette Design Studio program.
Once the cut square was cut by the Cameo, we simply folded the corners with holes to the middle and tacked down with a brad and then taped onto a paper straw. Quick, easy and fabulous! I could see tons of them in mason jars to decorate for a party. But Silhouette is not just for cutting paper. They had fabric projects and rhinestone projects like this bag.

and this adorable pillow. All of the boot elements were cut with a fabric blade on a Cameo.
Imagine how much easier it is to get exact cuts for fabric piecing or creating fabric chevron like on this pillow.
This technique can even be used for applique elements for quilting as was done on this amazing project.
